These are the planned activities for this month

 JAN 8        FEATHER FALLS  9:00 SPD, 9:30 Park  (The first Friday is January 1 which is a holiday so we’ve changed the gambling trip to the second Friday this month.)  $15 

 JAN 10      CIRQUE DU SOLEIL at ATT Park in SF.  Includes lunch. 8:00 & 8:30  $150  Lunch at Hometown Buffet in Pinole is included.  Completely sold out, taking a wait list.

JAN 11       POTLUCK at Vet’s Bldg.  A-G=salad/veggies, H-P=hot dish, R-Z=dessert. Bring your own table service and a serving utensil.  Also, please put your name on all dishes and utensils (return address labels work very well.  Meeting begins at 12:00, lunch at 12:30. 

JAN 14        "King Tut" and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs
                   
For the first time in 30 years, the artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun return to the De Young
                         Museum.  Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs presents more than 130
                         important objects, including 50 from the tomb of King Tut. The exhibition places
                         Tutankhamun  in a larger context through an additional 80 objects from tombs of his
                         ancestors, which provide insight into the daily life and royal burial practices of the 18th
                         Dynasty, Egypt's Golden Age. Four additional objects from Tut's tomb add luster and
                         intrigue to the De Young's presentation.
