Our meeting of Nov. 18, 2003, was held at Quail Ridge Retirement Home. The lunch was excellent. Two new members were in attendance and a lot of information was exchanged. Our meeting held Sept. 30, 2003, was a small meeting but very interesting as several of the participants have illiostomys. Also, talk was brought up about someone taking over the distributions of Ostomy supplies to the public. A suggestion was made that maybe the rotary Club might be interested.
The meeting held on
July 29, 2003 was
very successful with
two new members
attending.
Peggy Donat
spent a lot of time
speaking about how
Medicare works and
what to do and not
do. Our meeting held on May 27, 2003 was attended by 8 Ostomites including a first time attendee. Kathy Ellis gave a good presentation of Hollister Products including a lot of new products. The luncheon meeting held March 25, 2003, at Hilltop Estates in Grass Valley, was very successful. We had 15 people attend, one who came to obtain information about Ostomys as she may be facing such an operation. A discussion was held about various problems centering around yeast infections which several of the attendees were suffering from. Also, handouts were made of bags covers donated by Ostomy Comforts and various E-mails received by Bob Pleski regarding the supply of Appliance inventory. The meeting held January 28, 2003 was small with only 5 people in attendance. However, it was well worth the effort as a new person attended who was having several problems. We spent a good portion of the time discussing these problems and offering advice. Go To:
